Passport information will also be required at this time, as well as a signed liability waiver.
Also note that you are responsible for your own travel/medical insurance. Most have this through their work and/or credit card company. If you do not, it can be purchased for you when flights are booked at an additional cost (usually less than $75 per person).
This is a backcountry hiking trip and will involve some “roughing it”. There is the choice between a 1-man and 2-man tent, however, all hotel/condo rooms are based on double occupancy. Therefore, if you don’t have a partner, you will have the option of being paired up or paying an additional fee. There are also plenty of air mattresses, sleeping bags and space for those who wish to sleep alone.
A list of items to bring will be sent to you at least 1 month prior to departure, but please get good hiking shoes immediately. You will need proper hiking shoes (not running shoes) that have some wiggle room in the toes but not too loose so that your feet shift around in them. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you break them in BEFORE your trip (put a minimum of 50 kms on them).
